At the University of Guelph, our sustainability story has always been defined by our people and their commitment to work with others to be agents for positive change locally and around the world.
Our faculty have been engaged with communities – near and far – to translate their research into action and are working to solve challenges that our world is facing.
Through grassroots mobilization and action, our students are at the forefront of leading causes that advance sustainability both at our University and in the community. Through the Sustainability Ambassador Program our students are provided with the opportunity to incubate and implement new ideas. The projects they spearhead are creating an impact at our University and beyond.
Our staff are no different. They are engaged in finding solutions to problems on-campus, that inspires change beyond our boundaries. Our campus circular food system is proof of that.
Engagement is at the core of advancing sustainability, and what follows are the stories that have shaped the past and show promise of creating a more sustainable future.
